1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using this tutoring platform ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all of these terms, you may not use the Platform.

These terms apply to all visitors, students, and users of the Platform.

2. Description of Service

The Platform provides an online environment for booking and managing private tutoring lessons. Services include:

• Browsing available lesson types and scheduling
• Booking and paying for tutoring sessions
• Vocabulary training tools and progress tracking
• Communication between students and the tutor
• Access to educational blog content

The Platform serves as a tool for the tutor to manage their teaching practice. Tutoring services are provided directly by the tutor, not by the Platform itself.

3. User Accounts

Registration

To book lessons and access certain features, you must create a student account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep this information up to date.

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or remain inactive for an extended period. You may delete your own account at any time through your account settings.

4. Bookings and Lessons

Scheduling

Lessons are booked through the Platform based on the tutor's published availability. A booking is confirmed once payment has been successfully processed.

Lesson Delivery

Lessons are conducted online via a video conferencing tool chosen by the tutor. Connection details will be provided upon booking confirmation. It is the student's responsibility to ensure they have a stable internet connection and suitable equipment.

No-Shows

If a student fails to attend a confirmed lesson without prior cancellation, the lesson is considered delivered and no refund will be issued.

5. Payments

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a payment, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.

Lesson prices are set in EUR. If you pay in a different currency, Stripe will convert the amount at the prevailing exchange rate. Your bank may apply additional foreign transaction fees.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

Students may cancel a confirmed lesson up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the lesson are not eligible for a refund.

If the tutor cancels a lesson, the student will always receive a full refund regardless of timing.

Refunds are processed to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.

7. Vocabulary Training Tools

The Platform provides vocabulary training tools for educational purposes. These tools track your learning progress, including word mastery, accuracy, and training session statistics.

Content provided through vocabulary lists is for personal educational use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit this content without permission.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Submit false or misleading information
• Harass, abuse, or harm the tutor or other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Platform
• Share your account credentials with others

9. Reviews and Content

Students may submit reviews of their tutoring experience. By submitting a review, you grant us the right to display it on the Platform. Reviews must be truthful and based on genuine experiences.

We reserve the right to remove reviews that contain offensive content, personal attacks, spam, or misleading information.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including text, graphics, logos, and software — is the property of the tutor or their licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any content without prior written permission.

Blog posts, lesson materials, and vocabulary content are provided for personal educational use only.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in that policy.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Platform's availability, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

While the tutor strives to provide high-quality instruction, learning outcomes depend on many factors including student effort, aptitude, and practice. No specific results or outcomes are guaranteed.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the tutor and Platform operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid for lessons in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

We encourage you to review these terms periodically.

15. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable local laws. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation in the first instance.
